What it does
Allows you to modify the transparency of the objects in a PDF file.
You can:
- Modify the alpha channel of a fill and/or stroke, by moving the sliders to
the desired percentage. Note that, to gain full
opacity, you should move the slider to 100%.
- Change the blending modes.
This will change the way in which the colors
of a transparent object on top blend with the colors of underlying
objects.
To select the blending modes you want to apply, proceed
as follows:
- Select a blending mode under Available.
- Click Add to move it to the
Selected list.
- Repeat steps 1-2 as required.
The blending modes will be
applied in the order as they appear in the Selected
list.
- Turn on or off Alpha is Shape as required. This may
affect anti-aliasing. (Do not turn it on, unless you
really need it.)
- Turn on or off Text Knockout.
If Text Knockout is
enabled, the inks of underlying objects, if any, will be cut out on the
other separations. This option may be useful in case of overlapping
characters.
