Types of fonts

There are various types of fonts:

• PostScript Type 1 fonts, with the subset called the “standard 14 fonts“ and the extension “Multiple Master fonts“
• PostScript Type 3 fonts
• TrueType fonts with the extension “OpenType fonts“
• Composite fonts
