Enfocus PitStop Server



This configurator drives Enfocus PitStop Server. It is a processor that preflights and/or corrects a PDF file according to specifications. The resulting PDF file flows along the “data” output connections, the preflight report flows along the “log” output connections.

Description

Name

The name of the flow element displayed in the canvas

PDF profile

The Enfocus Preflight Profile to be used to preflight and possibly correct the file (select an item from the library stored inside PitStop Server, or browse for a Preflight Profile saved from PitStop Server or PitStop Pro)

The Preflight Profile can be omitted in case one or more Action Lists are specified (in the next property)

Action list(s)

A sequence of Action Lists to be executed on the file (select one ore more items from the library stored inside PitStop Server, or browse for an Action List saved from PitStop Server or PitStop Pro)

The sequence of Action Lists can be empty in case a Preflight Profile is specified (in the previous property)

Certified PDF

Determines Certified PDF-related behavior while processing the file as one of these choices:


  • Unchanged

  • Save as uncertified

  • Start certified

Allow rollback

If set to yes, the output file preserves the Certified PDF history information allowing rollback to previous Certified PDF sessions

Set personal info

If set to yes, three extra properties appear for defining the personal information listed on the preflight report and used for the Certified PDF session created by processing the file

User name

The user name in the personal info

Company name

The company name in the personal info

Email address

The email address in the personal info

Color management for images

Determines whether PitStop Server uses color management to process the file

If set to yes, the configurator shows a series of extra properties to specify color profiles and rendering intent

Gray source Gray target RGB source RGB target CMYK source CMYK target LAB source LAB target

These properties specify source and target color profiles for various color spaces

Select a color profile from the library stored inside PitStop Server or browse to a standard ICC profile file

Output intent overrides selected source ICC profile

Specifies whether the ICC profile of the output intent in the PDF should be used instead of the selected source ICC profile

Output intent overrides selected target ICC profile

Specifies whether the ICC profile of the output intent in the PDF should be used instead of the selected target ICC

CMM Engine

The color management engine used for color conversions. Choices are System CMM, Little CMM and Adobe CMM

Rendering intent

Specifies the rendering intent for color management; choices are:


  • Object defined

  • Relative colorimetric

  • Absolute colorimetric

  • Saturation

  • Perceptual

Color management for other objects

Specifies the color management mode for objects other than images; choices are:


  • Same as images: color management for all objects is specified by “Use color management”property and its subordinates

  • Different: color management for other objects is turned on and defined by the subordinate properties following below; color management for images is defined by the “Use color management” property and its subordinate properties

  • Off: color management for other objects is turned off; color management for imagesis defined by the “Use color management” property and its subordinate properties

If this property is set to "Different", the configurator shows a series of extra properties to specify color profiles and rendering intent (similar to the extra properties shown for "use color management")

Extra font folder

Path to a folder that contains extra fonts for use while processing files (in addition to the system fonts)

Optimization

The optimization performed: optimized for web download; optimized for file size only; not optimized

Report type

The format of the preflight report; choices are: PDF, PDF minimum, PDF continuous, XML, Text summary, XML summary (see section on report types below)

Hyperlinks include unique name prefix

A PDF report contains hyperlinks to the file being processed; this property determines whether the filename in those hyperlinks includes the Switch unique name prefix or not

In both cases the hyperlinks are relative to the file's position, so the preflight report and the file being processed must remain in the same folder for the hyperlinks to work

Additional XML Report dataset

The name of an additional dataset where an XML report will be stored

Report language

The human language for the preflight report; choices include: English, German, French, Italian

Measurement units

The measurement units used in the report; choices are: Points, Picas, Inches, Centimeters, Millimeters
