ICS RD Submit



This configurator allows to make online proofs using ICS Remote Director, and to invite people to the proof.

Detecting the application

This configurator implements the following mechanisms to detect the presence of the corresponding third-party application. This entails that the ICS RD configurator is able to find the ICS RD CL API. See Detecting third-party applications for more information.

Property

Description

Name

The name of the flow element displayed in the canvas

Customer

Name of the customer-level folder that will have Jobs inside

Job

Name of the Job-level folder that will have Proofs inside

Proof name

Name of the proof to create

Invitees

List of seat user names who are invited to this proof

Invitees permissions

To give an invitee several permissions, permissions are separated with a plus sign (+).

A special permission called "all" is shorthand for all permissions combined and is equivalent to inviteseats+addimages+signoff+colormgmt+print.

Create seat for invitee

Create a new seat before submitting a proof.

If set to yes, information about the new user (name, address, company, ...) can be added.


  • If the new seat is set to "Public", it will be visible in the ICS directory listings.

  • If this new user is not required to enter a password each time they sign off an ima, set "Signoff Password Required" to "no".

  • If you want this user to be able to bypass calibration when opening a proof, enable "Bypass Calibration"

Profile handling

Specifies whether to use an embedded profile or not.


  • If set to "embedded", the embedded profile will be used. If no profile is embedded, the default profile (RGB, CMYK, Lab) will be used

  • When set to "Apply proof profile", the Proof profile and Rendering intent to be used can be set.

Image Server

Name of the image server. When set to default, the name of the server must be defined in the Preferences file

Username

Seat username. When set to default, the user name must be defined in the Preferences file

Password

Seat password. When set to default, the password must be defined in the Preferences file

Preferences file

Properties that are set to default must be specified in a preferences file. This preferences file can also be used to specify additional parameters.

An example file is installed and can be found in:
  • Mac: /Library/Application Support/SwitchScripts/ICS

  • Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SwitchScripts\ICS

  • Windows 7 or Vista: C:\ProgramData\SwitchScripts\ICS
