SwitchClient Module

The SwitchClient module allows users to access the Switch Server remotely, via Submit points (to submit jobs) and Checkpoints (to monitor jobs).

Using SwitchClient, users can for example:

• Connect to one or more Switch servers on the local network/internet.

• Submit jobs (files or job folders) to a Submit point in a flow.

• Review and act on jobs being held in a Checkpoint in a flow.

• View progress information and the status of submitted jobs.

• View log messages issued by processes on the server.

  Note: SwitchClients also supports a mixed-platform network (Mac and Windows).

Note that you can restrict the access to particular Submit points and Checkpoints, by configuring access rights at user or user group level. For more information, refer to Configuring Switch users.
