Installing Switch

Prerequisites: You must have administrator rights on your local computer to install Switch.

Note:

If you want to use Remote Designer, you must install Switch on all systems you want to use with Switch. Refer to Before you start the installation.
If you want to install a more recent version of Switch, refer to Upgrading to a new version of Switch.

To install Switch

Do one of the following:
- Insert the Enfocus Product CD-ROM or DVD into your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive.
- Use the link you received from your local reseller to download Switch.
Switch is only sold via local resellers. Different from other Enfocus products, you cannot download it directly from the Enfocus website.
If necessary, double-click the Switch installer.
Follow the onscreen installation instructions.
Important: It's important to pay attention to all messages shown during the installation.
At some point you will be asked to select the required language packs. Note that, if you select several languages, after installing and activating Switch, you can set different languages for the Switch user interface and the Switch Server. By default, the language that was chosen to run the installer will be used (for both Designer and Server), but this can be changed in the preferences. For more information, refer to Switch preferences: User interface and Switch preferences: Processing. You have installed Switch. Next, you have to activate your Switch license(s).
