Exporting log messages

Log messages can be exported to an XML or a CSV file for processing by third-party tools. If you have set filters, these filters are taken into account; only the messages that are shown will be exported to a file.

To export log messages

  1. To export the messages to an XML file, do one of the following:

    • Right-click somewhere in the Messages pane and choose Export log from the contextual menu.

    • Click the Export log button in the Switch toolbar.

    • Select File > Export log .

  2. To export the messages to a CSV file, open the log messages in a web browser and click the Export log button .
  3. Select a location and file name for the exported log file.
  4. Click Save.
