Switch preferences: Problem alerts

These preferences allow you to configure the way system administrators are notified of problems.

Send problem alerts to

Enter the destination e-mail addresses (one per line) and the body text for your alert message; information about the error will be appended to the body text.

Problem job arrives If set to Yes, an alert is sent whenever Switch moves a job to the Problem jobs folder.
Processing takes more than (minutes) Send an alert if a process, other than the file transfer process, takes longer than the time set (in minutes) here.

If set to 0, no alert will be sent.

Mail server is down for more than (hours) Send an alert when an email server cannot be accessed for the time (hours) indicated here.

If set to 0, no alert will be sent.

FTP site is down for more than (hours) Send an alert when an FTP site cannot be accessed for the time (hours) indicated here.

If set to 0, no alert will be sent.

Folder is unreachable for more than (minutes)

Send an alert when a backing folder is unreachable for more than x minutes.

External process fails

If set to Yes, an alert is sent when a process other than folder, fails (that is, its process is put in the "problem process" state).

Switch Server quit unexpectedly If set to Yes an alert is sent when upon startup, Switch detects that the Switch Server quit unexpectedly (due to a hardware or software failure).
Alert if free disk space for application data is less than, Mb Send an alert when the amount of free disk space for application data is less than the defined amount.
