Downloading and installing a configurator from within Switch

A number of configurators are installed by default, together with Switch, but you can afterwards install additional configurators as required.

Note:
  • It is only useful to install configurators for third-party applications that you have installed. Otherwise you will not be able to use these configurators.
  • You must have licensed the Configurator module.

To install a configurator from within Switch

  1. In Switch, go to Help > Download configurators (only available if you have licensed the Configurator module). The Enfocus Pack Manager is displayed.
  2. In the Sources column, click Web. The colors of the icons refer to the installed version of the configurator:
    • Green indicates that the latest version of the configurator is installed, so no need to update it.
    • Orange indicates that a newever version of the configurator is available.
    • Grey indicates that the configurator has not been installed yet.
  3. Select the appropriate configurator. Move your cursor over the configurator, to see a tooltip with (version) information.
Tip: If you don't find the configurator you need, click the Actions button (in the top right corner of the dialog) and select Browse all configurators. This brings you to the the Enfocus website (the Switch Partner integrations overview).
  4. Click Download (button in the bottom right corner) and save the configurator (with file extension .enfpack) to your local system.
  5. To install the configurator, do one of the following:
    • Double-click the downloaded enfpack.
    • Drag the downloaded enfpack onto the Flow elements pane in Switch.
    • In the Flow elements pane, click , select Open and install and choose the downloaded enfpack.
  6. Click OK to confirm. The configurator is added to the Flow elements pane (in the Configurator category). In Pack Manager, the icon next to the configurator has become green ().
If for any reason you would like to uninstall a configurator, you can do so via the context menu of the configurator in the Flow elements pane.
