Switch preferences: FTP proxy

If your system environment requires FTP connections to pass through a proxy server, you must fill in the configuration details for the proxy server. Otherwise, you will not be able to use the FTP receive and FTP send tools.

  • In the FTP server address property, enter the name or IP address of the proxy server (instead of the FTP site being targeted).

  • In the user name property, append an @ sign and the target FTP site address (domain or IP address) to the regular user name ( "<ftpserverusername>@<ftpserveraddress>").

  • The other properties, including the password, remain unchanged.
